Dr Joan San completed her medical training at the University of Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospital. Early in her career, she worked in North East Victoria, where she completed postgraduate training as a rural GP obstetrician, caring for individuals and families within the local community.
After returning to Melbourne, Joan has continued to enjoy the breadth of general practice, with a strong focus on whole‑person care. As a self-declared lifelong learner, she remains actively involved in teaching and mentoring and is committed to thoughtful and progressive health concepts. Her current burning interest lies in the proactive practice of healthy longevity medicine. By meeting patients where they are at, her hope is to ensure people feel informed, heard, and confident in the decisions they make about their health.
